Julie MacNeil

Julie offers her clients more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry. The focus of MacNeil Financial Services is to help people 60 and over prepare for their retirement.

“My expertise lies in helping people implement savings plans and figure out what their retirement income will be,” says Julie. “Because then they are able to make decisions based on the knowledge of what their expenses will be.”

As both an insurance– and securities–licensed advisor, Julie provides her clients with the full spectrum of financial services. MacNeil Financial Services is a boutique firm that offers a more personalized approach to the same services delivered by the giant corporate conglomerates, including help with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, estate planning, mortgages and Social Security Maximization.

“What I find is that a lot of my clients refer friends to me because I helped them retire sooner than they thought they would be able to retire,” says Julie. “Delivering this kind of news to people gives me great personal satisfaction. I often become friends with my clients. I get invited to weddings, I know their children, I’m now even helping second-generation clients. It’s definitely one of the biggest reasons that I love my job.”

Customer service is the paramount priority at MacNeil Financial Services. Julie makes a personal commitment to return all calls within 24 hours. To best meet the needs of her clients, she makes house calls for her appointments with them, even accommodating their schedules outside the range of usual business hours.

“I also believe that it is important to stay in touch with clients as often as they are comfortable with communicating,” says Julie, “so that you are sure to always provide them with the latest information about anything that might affect their portfolios.”

In her leisure time, Julie loves to garden and travel the world, having visited more than 26 countries and 48 of our 50 states. She is also an award-winning author of a memoir called “The 50-Year Secret,” a story about a rare lung disease she has that has helped save the lives of others by encouraging them to be tested for it. The book is currently undergoing the process of being optioned for a movie.
